Walter Baermann was a practicing exhibition, industrial and poster designer as well as an accomplished architect. Prior to World War 2, he taught and was the director of the California Graduate School of Design at Pasadena from 1938-1941. After the war, he resumed his career in New York and then moved to North Carolina and also began teaching in the School of Design at NC State in Raleigh, NC.
