Movement & Identity
Movement = Identity:

The women who are still strong, mobile and vibrant into their 60s and 70s didn’t get there because they had better genetics
They didn’t out-discipline everyone else

And they definitely didn’t live inside rigid, punishing routines.

They made a quieter, more powerful decision a long time ago:
I’m not moving my body to look good.
I’m moving my body so I don’t have to opt out of my life.
That’s the difference.
It’s not metabolism.
It’s not willpower.
It’s not luck.

It’s the reason behind the movement.

Research in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity shows what I see every single day in my life:

When movement is driven by meaning, enjoyment and identity
it lasts.

When it’s driven by appearance, pressure or urgency
it burns out.

This is why women who:
– Move with intention
– Choose consistency over intensity

Will outpace women who:
– Choose extreme programs
– Push through exhaustion
– Start & stop over and over again

Not because she’s stronger.
Because she’s playing a different game.

In my world, movement is not punishment.
It’s not something you squeeze in when you have time.

It’s not a transaction.

It’s how you stay engaged in your life.
It’s how you keep your independence.
Your energy.
Your clarity.
Your life.

You don’t need a harder workout.
You need a deeper reason.

What's your Big Why?

Move in a way that makes you want to come back tomorrow.
That’s the strategy that carries you into your 60s, 70s and far beyond.
